What’s Your Garden Style?

Landscape design style is the exterior personality of your home. Your landscape greets visitors and is a significant part of your home’s first impression.

The style of your landscape design is possibly the most important part of planning your outdoor space, but is often the most overlooked factor, primarily because most people are unaware of just how many different landscape design styles there are.

Your garden style should, first and foremost, match the design of your home.

A formal, Colonial style home, for example, would not be a good candidate for a desert or tropical style landscape.

You want your outdoor space to match your own personality as well. If your ideal yard would consist of a cozy reading nook amid fragrant and colorful flowers, you may prefer an English garden style rather than contemporary.
