Designing a Functional Outdoor Living Area
Just the other day one of my clients asked me what is the single most important ingredient to a successful outdoor living area. Without hesitation, I looked at him and said ‘functionality’.
The most beautiful landscape designs are those that are functional and invite you and your guests to truly enjoy the outdoors by creating a natural extension to your home. Useful outdoor spaces that are both functional and attractive can complete your estate and multiply the worth of your property.
From fireplaces to water features, there are all types of accessories that can help you create the most needed outdoor spaces for your home. Sitting areas are a must in any landscape design and can be accented with lattice patio structures, tranquil water gardens, or cozy outdoor fire pits.
Create outdoor living areas based on the needs and wants of you and your family. You may want to incorporate a sports bar into your design or may need a play area for your children. Outdoor dining areas are often an integral part of an upscale landscape design.
