One of my favorite landscape design ideas are usually for container gardens. For those living in a condo and love not having to maintain a lawn, you might really miss your garden space.
But your balcony can be full of planters and pots and anything else that makes an attractive garden container.
My latest garden idea – a salad garden planted in an old desk drawer! I painted the outside of the drawer in a bright yellow and drilled a few small holes in the bottom.
Be sure you put it in place before filling it with soil. I have lettuce, cucumbers, a bell pepper, radishes, and a tomato plant growing in mine.
But I think my all time favorite is my blue wooden chair planter. It was so simple. I just removed the webbing, gave it a light sanding, a coat of primer then a final coat of exterior blue paint.
After drying, I planted the seat with a large blue pot of my favorite flowers and hung smaller pots on the chair’s back rest.
Interested to hear some other landscaping ideas for container gardens so I can add to my collection!

I look for online professional assistance, against a fee, of course, for suggestions and plans for small space landscaping. Does such a service exist? Thanks.
